SURINAME

Country-wide elections in Suriname took place in April 2005. Early planning for this project allowed extra organizational time, ensuring cost effective use of transport, materials and communication.

During this election LGS introduced a radical new
ink identification kit, which proved to be very successful. LGS is now developing these ink kits further to improve and enhance their performance.

Another major task for LGS was the supply of
special voting booths that had to conform to very specific local conditions.

The Suriname elections required LGS to have key personnel 'in the field' to ensure the smooth assembly of materials in a variety of local conditions and to help train local election officials.

Because of the early planning, attention to detail, provision of new LGS innovative materials and LGS staff on hand to directly assist where necessary, the Suriname elections were acclaimed a great success inside and outside the country.
